1987
It starts on New Salem Street.
Simeone Floors opens in Wakefield, Massachusetts, as a locally owned flooring contractor. The focus from day one is commercial work: stores, offices, schools, and the buildings people use every day.
The company is bonded and open shop, and it builds its own field labor force instead of renting one. Crews learn the trade inside the company, which is why the same people show up job after job.
2021 to 2026
A record kept by the job.
In five years, 1,295 grocery projects: 583 for Market Basket, 390 for Hannaford, 132 for Whole Foods, 91 for Roche Bros., plus Shaw's, Trader Joe's, Stop & Shop, and TJX brands.
Seventy nine percent of those projects came from a GC or owner who had hired us before. Every year we add about 54 new relationships and keep about 39 returning ones.
Today
Seven states, around the clock.
Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York State. Crews run day, night, and weekend shifts so stores and schools stay open while the floor goes down.
Most of our work is large commercial projects. We take on residential work occasionally, when the scope fits how we work.
